Economical to Operate

The Chairiot solo’s all-electric design makes it incredibly economical to operate. The car gets the equivalent of 157 MPG! The annual cost of electricity for the average owner will be about $129 a year. Chairiot Mobility is also guaranteeing that the cost to replace the main batteries - which will be necessary every three to five years - will not be more than $749. That’s how we roll.

Unprecedented freedom at an affordable price

Roll in • Drive off

The electrically operated rear hatch opens in only 11 seconds with a wireless key fob. The user simply rolls in and drives off - the rear access ramp automatically adjusts for entry from the ground or a curb. A special bracket on the wheelchair and a rugged floor catch locks the chair into the car, and a three-point seatbelt safely secures the driver. From door opening to driving takes less than 40 seconds!

The electric Chairiot solo can drive on local streets at speeds up to 25 mph (in some states and local jurisdictions 35 mph).*
It is an affordable, secure and environmentally friendly solution for getting to work, school, store, doctor, entertainment and other destinations without assistance.

The Chairiot solo is a revolutionary car that provides wheelchair users with an unprecedented level of personal mobility without depending on friends, family or public transportation. All for a price that starts at less than $19,000!

Interior Designed for the Wheelchair Driver

The Chairiot solo is driven by a steering wheel and spinner, along with a hand bar control that combines throttle and brake functions. Both controls feature a light touch and are operable with modest upper body strength.

The digital instrument gauges include a display from the rear back-up sensors with visual and audio feedback.

A switch panel on the left side has the controls for the all accessories in the car. These include electrically driven rear door, side windows and left-and-right rear view mirrors. The Chairiot solo is also fully equipped for night driving, including low- and high-beam headlights, interior dome light and a spot lamp for the rear ramp area.

Electric Convenience & Economy

With Chairiot solo, there are no frustrating visits to the gas station. A robust absorbed glass mat (AGM) battery package provides a total of 7 kw of power for the Chairiot. It can be charged from a standard 110 volt outlet (15 amp circuit) in six to eight hours.

Chairiot is powered by twin hub motors built into the rear wheels. These energy-efficient motors provide a range of up to 50 miles on a full charge. They also supply peace of mind: In the unlikely event of a motor failure, the Chairiot can continue to be driven on just one motor.

  1. *The Chairiot solo meets all of the US Department of Transportation regulations for a Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) under the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
